GDT: Germany VS Norway

Yes. In my youth they showed every WC. That was when Truntschka and Hegen were the best german players.

To be honest, I hope Sport1 is cointinuing to cover the WC. Their coverage is great, Basti Schwele and Rick Goldman are very good experts wich really love the sport. If you watch German ÖR in sports, their only focus are the guys from Germany, sometimes you don't notice that other countries are participating.

Idk I'm not as keen on hockey on public TV. A few more people would see it I guess but I would guess that Sport1 is in most homes anyway (or people without TV can stream it) and given that hockey is a more complicated sport to get into than biathlon or handball, I'm not too sure that your average ZDF viewer would stay hooked on hockey just because it's on.

IIRC at some point in the 00s the ÖR were showing the German games and other than that nothing of the rest of the tournament was on TV. Sport1 needs the Germany games to make their coverage as a whole worthwhile. So in the end I'd rather have them show everything than the German games on public TV and watching the rest on youtube. I mean, it wouldn't be the end of the world but I'm fine with how Sport1 is established as the IIHF WC channel.
 
I would like Sport1 to be better known.
They do a great job and i think if it was better known that they show the games it would be great.
 
Up four with 10 to go, I say let Holzer finish his next shift and then hit the shower to be in front of the TV in time when his 1860 try for promotion.

Back in the time ÖR had a good commentator (Jochen Sprentzel). Really liked him.

We are looking good so far, but i have the feeling that we need to get our goalies more to do.
They look like they get out of sync because they don't get shot at.

But then again our defensive effort was much better than yesterday.
 
That second period was brutal, we looked like a Div 1A team out there.
Still think will beat Italy, but it’s going to be close.

Very good German team, can also beat Canada perhaps?
