Oh yeah, thanks. I am adding him. I thought he is too old by now, to get invited for a prospects camp :)
I am not sure if there is an age limit or what it would be, but since he was only just signed at the end of last season, it makes sense that the Wild want him at the prospects camp.

What happened to Stachowiak btw? He had a terrible year just looking at his stats...

I don't think it was too bad considering the following:

1) His team was a one line team. Beyond that they had nothing.
2) He was younger than many other players going to the NCAA (especially coming from Europe originally). For comparison Julian Napravnik also played his freshman season but is 2 years older.

Will have to wait and see how he progresses. Last season wasn't particularly good, but there were circumstances so hopefully he will take a big step forward next season.

I actually go to Michigan State, we were a one line team, with a new coach etc. He looked fine, I never thought he was going to light up the NCAA but I still think he has potential as a 4th line type player.

Which German players are you expecting to be picked in the CHL import draft on Tuesday?

I believe this ist the most Germans ever in the import draft? Exciting times, curious to see who reports.

The pick of Rayan Bettahar on five was a big surprise for me. Does he have NHL-Talent or why he was picked so high? Btw. I am very curios which German player will take the step in the CHL.

I'd heard before that his agent really pushed him to a bunch of teams but SC picking him 5th overall was still a shock. I don't think he has CHL talent. But I guess there are three contributing factors:
1. Nobody wants to go to and live in Swift Current, so they struggle to get high-end players every year but they knew Bettahar is 100% committed to report
2. Bettahar is big (dumb argument but we're still talking about North American hockey men building their team)
3. He was at the U18 worlds and they got a chance to see him there. I didn't think he played well but he was physical (see point 2).

As to the rest, my projection:

Hänelt will report if he goes undrafted in the NHL. He will also report if he's drafted and his NHL team really wants him in North America, especially if it's an East Coast team that would have him somewhat close by. Expecting him to stay in Berlin though.

Klein will stay in Straubing but I won't be entirely shocked if he ends up in Peterborough.

Niedenz will report.

Hafenrichter is a maybe. I heard he has a couple of clubs interested in signing him in Germany. Might want to see if he can stick in the DEL and go to Guelph if he doesn't.

Elias I think is unlikely after a full DEL season and given the fact he was picked by Saskatoon. Wouldn't be surprised if he was hoping to end up somewhere else but then Saskatoon grabbed him.

Proske will report.

Lutz will stay in Munich and only move over to the Soo if he doesn't get regular minutes in the DEL.

Wonder how much having a German scout plays into something like this. Would the Chiefs have got Proske without Beichler? Picked a Czech last year and a Belarusian in the first round this year, so who knows.

Pretty sure he played a considerable role in that pick and acquisition.

Hasn't been mentioned here, but Hänelt has confirmed that he'll be heading to the QMJHL (Gatineau) while Bettahar will be reporting to Swift Current of the WHL.
