There are three tournaments upcoming and the rosters have been released.

A few notables:

U17: The only underager on the roster is forward Lukas Reichel ('02)
U18: There are two underagers on the roster. Goalie Tobias Ancicka ('01) and defenseman Tommy Pasanen ('01).
U20: Besides 3 double underagers (Goalie Hendrik Hane ('00), defenseman Daniel Wirt ('00) and forward Dominik Bokk ('00)) there is also Moritz Seider as a triple underager ('01).

Full rosters here.

I know Tommy Pasanen is son of Finnish DEL coach Jari Pasanen, but is Lukas Reichel related to Martin Reichel?

e: Must be as he's actually the coach of the junior team.

The U18 team beat Slovakia 5-4 in a shootout. They came back from 0-4 early in the second period by scoring 4 goals in less than 8 minutes, all in the second period.
Goals were scored by Justin Schütz (Taro Jentzsch, Yannik Valenti), Eric Betzold (Luis Brune), Edwin Schitz (Dennis Lobach, Tim Fleischer) and again Eric Betzold (Tobias Möller). Betzold also scored in the shootout.

U20 Long list is out.

Which 22 make it?

I'll try my hand at a prediction.
My guess is the ones I marked in red and one of the guys marked in blue (depending on how many defensemen they will pick) will be cut.

I'd say a little more than half the guys are locks, barring injury.

Could be a decent team this year with some exciting kids for the future in Bokk and Seider, who might already be the best players on this team. Not to take anything away from guys like Gawanke, Eder or any of the others, but Bokk and Seider could be special.

Why no Bastian Eckl and Colin Ugbekile?

There is still some time to add them to the list, I believe. I also thought Appendino might have a shot.
If I were to ignore the list and just put together my own roster Ugbekile and Appendino would probably be on it. But not Eckl, I would have Alexandrov or especially Valenti on the team before him, although it would be close between him and Alexandrov.

At the rink.
Looks like Valenti is having quite the tournament.
From what I heard, he hasn't been too impressive. Just able to capitalize on his power-play chances thanks to his shot, but couldn't create much else.

Players I was told stood out: Seider, Stützle, Fleischer, Schütz, Dersch, Jentzsch
