Pavlovic taken off injured, replaced by even younger player, Croatian Zvonarek, who scored last weekend and signed a pro contract this week.

Köln should be having their best game of the season but are having one of the worst, 0:3 down already before the break in Heidenheim.

Yes, Köln are almost certain to go down now. Union Berlin had a good chance to drag themselves towards safety, but Juranovic missed a PK on 37th minute. So they are still in the playoff spot.

Mainz at least temporarily 13th already, Bochum down 0:3 against Bremen and going to relegation playoff instead.

wow, Union misses a penalty in the first half. goes up 1-0, then gives up a goal. Tied in extra time they get a penalty. Volland hits the post only, but they put home the rebound.

I kinda knew Union would pull it out. You just had the sense Freiburg with Europe no longer a possibility and their manager on the way out would cave eventually.

...and breath. I couldn't even watch that 2nd penalty. So glad we pulled it off because Dusseldorf would've beaten us in this form...and f*** Bochum. The league is better without those thugs.

Happy for Mainz to. Burkardt, Gruda, and Weiper are way too talented to be playing BuLi2 next season. 7 goals & 2 assists in his last 10 matches for Joni. After that long layoff he should finally be back on track after a full offseason.

I'm not a fanboy or something, but a fee of 4m (plus 1.5m bonus maybe) is a joke for a player like Volland.
Even if he was lazy in Monaco he still managed to score something around 10/11 goals a season. He does ths since 2012.
Even if he regresses (he is 31yo) in my world this is a good deal. At least on paper.
5.5 is a good deal now.

I for one quite like that they have something resembling an identity, hasn't always been the case and ultimately separates them from the likes of Duisburg or Oberhausen.

Mainz by the way was the only team dirtier than them in terms of bookings, Union dominated in red cards.

Love what Reus has been doing in these last two home games since announcing his departure.

It was nice to see Reus to bow out in style, with a goal and assist.

Some interesting attacking patterns by Dortmund's attacking players, especially after Fullkrig came off. Very fluid positions. Sancho (who had a very good game) switching from right to left winger, playing CF at times. Brandt roaming from LW to CF to midfielder, Malen too sometimes a RW, sometimes a CF.

Still amazed that Leverkusen managed to remain unbeaten in the league, so many close calls during the season.

You don't see this at every club when celebrating the title, both captain Hradecky and manager Xabi Alonso went up into the stands to the capo platform with the Meisterschale, to make chants etc.

There was a curious incident in the Frankfurt - Leipzig match.

Fouled Xavi Simons went to take a PK himself, and the ball was already on the spot and the ref gestured towards the ball, although he was standing quite near the ball. Xavi took the kick, but missed his attempt, shooting wide. But the ref ordered the kick to be retaken, since he hadn't blown the whistle yet. Xavi scored the retaken PK.

There were also some tense moments in the end, as Frankfurt had to wait until 104th minute for match to end. That was because at the start of the 2nd half, fire alarm went off, and sprinklers sprayed water on the pitch and players, and the the match was interrupted for a while.

But in the end Frankfurt held on to a draw and one point they needed to secure the 6th spot. Which could mean CL for them next season, if Dortmund win the final against Real Madrid.
