German Football 2024 2025

Bielefeld trying to finish what Saarbrücken started last year. 2-1 up with 20 minutes to go. Can't say it isn't a deserved lead either.

And they do hold on.
If they actually win the Cup and get a Europa League spot, how much is that worth for them financially, like $7-8 million? That could be gamechanging for a third-tier club.

With some rough math they're already guaranteed about 9M in prize money, up to around 13M if they beat Stuttgart. Qualifying for Europa would give another 3.5M or so and anybwins about 650k per win.

They've already secured at least a season plus worth of payroll, which is a huge boost to the long-term health of the club, if not a guarantee of getting out of the slog that 3. Liga can be.

HSV remembering their place down the final stretch by getting smacked at the hands of relegation battlers Braunschweig. I'm smelling a 3rd place finish and playoff loss incoming. It is the way if things.

Terrible loss for Mainz in terms of European ambition. I don't know Frankfurt will manage to choke away that UCL spot, but those top 4 spots looking like they'll be much more "normal" than a few weeks ago.

Augsburg baby, still trying to keep their hat in the ring despite getting a man sent off and facing a desperate Bochum.
