German Football 2024/2025

This game had the feeling of another BVB classic but they managed to pull it off. First away win of the season, just in time before the new year.

I know I got heat for already including Musiala and Wirtz in my NT of the century, but it's hard not to feel like we should get more out of their primes than we did the Özil / Müller / Kroos / Hummels / Neuer generation, despite that age group's more balanced distribution of talent. These kids are well on their way to being our best outfield players of the 21st Century, and the supporting cast is rounding into shape.

Undav, Burkardt, Havertz, Kleindienst, Füllkrug, etc. have really turned striker into a position of strength, that we can withstand some injuries too. Similarly, Andrich, Nmecha, Pavlovic, Stiller, Martel, etc. have assuaged the massive concerns I had about our double-6 in the post-Kroos era. Even the back 4 + GK no longer cause me any anxiety, with Baumann and Ortega perfectly capable of holding the fort until MAtS is back to 100%.

Just need 1.FCU to find some more goals in the ruckrunde and this will be a delightful season of sport for me!

...especially after the Knicks stay magically healthy in the playoffs and get through the murderer's row at the top of the east to win their first title of my lifetime...

Really looking forward to this game.

In the first half, Leverkusen's wing play and passes were impressive and Schick kept on finishing well.
Hradecky with couple of good saves.

But Dortmund should still be able to score more.
