Just saw GSP relinquished the belt. Be interesting to see if he ever fights again. Kind of a perfect way to go out, really.

GSP has this disease?

Yes.

He also had major problems during his last camp for the Bisping fight and they were close to calling it off. I read an article where he was vomiting daily up until a days before the fight. He just can't put on weight and his body rejected the process. This makes his victory over Bisping much more impressive in my opinion.

I'm glad he gave up the title, I think Whittaker would have given him serious trouble.

I wonder if he and McGregor will meet in the middle for a super fight? I have my doubts but I'd pay to watch that, and i'm sure i'm not alone.

Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor in talks over April fight
It's looking more and more like Conor will keep on boxing, there's way too much money left to make there. Heck, fight Pacquiao, then fight a returning for one night only De La Hoya and add another 100 million to your bank account.
I think a part of why people watched the Conor - Mayweather fight was because of the ''all it takes is one punch" possibility that Conor lands, and we had never seen him in a ring.
I don't think Manny vs Conor would draw as much.

Conor was a huge draw in the UFC first and foremost because of his skills. With that he added his big charisma and personality. Without the talent though, he's just a 2nd tier trash talking fighter like all the others.
He didn't really showcase much skills vs Mayweather, so, if he keeps boxing, I doubt he draws big crowds.
I don't even think I would watch this fight.

I think Conor has ONE more giant boxing pay day left before the casual fans realize he's really not much of a pro boxer and stop believing the hype. Manny by himself is still a major draw and Conor has been going completely off the rails with the party lifestyle in the last few months so you know he's going to do something stupid that will get a lot of press.

I can't blame Conor for trying to get another major boxing fight done. Money is not comparable to the UFC.
I don't think he will draw nearly as much as the Mayweather fight, but it will still be way more than in the UFC.

Oh for sure, he'd be dumb not to cash in now while he's still hot. I just wish he'd be up front about it and drop his lightweight belt already.

Pretty sure there is a clause in his contract that stipulates he needs to defend his title within X amount of months otherwise UFC can take it back from him.

Truax dominated that fight. The BT Sports commentators, somehow, had DeGale winning that fight.
