Clearly, the only thing you need to do is send in Zuke. Then he can mentor the alien to be good locker room guy and pass the facehugger some nice pucks to catch.

OK, you've one upped me ... If Zuke can pull it off, then Guerin would be super happy, as Alien has a lot of FU to his game.

Hey guys! I'm headed up to Minnesota with my family on October 12 through the 18. Probably won't be able to catch a game unfortunately. But yeah. I'm headed home for a few days

I don't know if this is good or bad, but I've been here for 20 years apparently (August 26th, but they count today as my anniversary. Thanks Leap Year?)

I'm glad i listened to the reviews and didn't watch the first version of Rebel Moon. And doubly glad I listened to the much better reviews and watched the "Snyder cut" version. Great movie. Doesn't break any new ground and lodes of Sci fi / fantasy tropes. But it's a fun movie with a decent story. DEFINITELY a Sci fi ripoff of Seven Samurai though, but I don't think that's a bad thing.

In case some of you is interested in how the most beutiful SHL club, HV71, is going about their pre season camp, here is an all access episode covering their start to the pre-season. I'd say about 65% of this is in english, maybe the youtube subtitle function can translate the rest.
The interesting part is that they employed a very young head coach, Anton Blomquist, 34 years old. This is very unusual as the norm in SHL seems to be to only let dinosaur coaches circle through the clubs.

Their leadership group is mostly made up of a homegrown team of old players and leaders. The new GM, Chris Abbott, was their captain in the championship run in 2017.

Assistant coach Johan Davidsson is the franchise leader in most games played, most points scored, most assists, fifth in all time goals scored, 3 WJC championships, 1 time all star WJC, four time SHL champion, scoring leader in the World Championships 2007, MVP both in the SHL and the playoffs, SM-Liiga champion and Captain for HV71 in 12 seasons. He also played in the NHL for Isles and the Ducks.
He's also the all time assist leader in SHL history, and second in all time scoring.
Was the captain in 3 championship winning teams, and scored a goal in his first SHL game as a 16 yo kid. His jersey #76 is of course retired. One of the greatest players in SHL history.
5 all star SHL teams, Gentleman of the year, Gold Puck winner, PP specialist, and Locker Room Dude galore. Also was assistant GM for 7 seasons and assistant coach going on his third season.
Drafted #28 in 1994 by Ducks.

Assistant coach Fredrik Stillman played D 14 seasons in the SHL for the club, fourth in games played, Olympic champion and 2 time world champion. Captained 6 seasons and assistant captain 2 seasons. Captained their first SHL championship team in 1995.
2 olympic teams, 5 WC teams.
9 years as a GM, 1 year as a head coach, and 7 years as a assistat coach.
Also was a assistant coach for 6 years in the KHL and head coach for Admiral Vladivostok in 2017.
Most points by defenseman in the SHL 1997.
His jersey #14 is also retired.

Skills coach Chris Beech was a part of their championship team in 2010 and played for the club in 3 seasons.

Physical trainer Björn Melin played 13 seasons for the club, won 3 championships and famously scored his first NHL goal in his first game by deflecting a Teemu Selänne shot off of his foot and into the net.
Also won a World Championship.
Scored the championship clinching goal in the SHL 2004 and most points in the playoffs 2008.

Anyhow, if someone finds it interesting, I can post the next episode for you. In that, they are visiting a very old medieval town with history from the Vikings to play a pre-season cup. Just let me know if you want to see it.

What do I need to do to end all these pop-ups on this app? Usability is going downhill.

We're in!
Ok, I'm gonna post this just for you. This is their nr2 All access for this upcoming season. This time they travel to Gotland, the famous Swedish isle located in the baltic sea, the biggest swedish isle. The name of the isle was in y 1000 Gutland according to the runes discovered. (Latin: Gutlandia)
Remnants from 9200 years ago have been discovered.

During the Viking age, Gotland was one of the richest places in Scandinavia. Many old treasure troves have been discovered all over the isle, to this date over 700 different places.
The capital town Visby has a world famous wall, the Visby City Wall , built around the 13 and 14th century. approximately 2.14 mi. of it's original 2.2 mi still stands.

If you're interested in old medievial history, just look it up. I can recommend a visit if you like that kind of things.

Anyhow, this is EP nr2 if anyone is interested in European hockey and SHL in partiular.
I'm hoping the Youtube translate function can do you some favour.
I've met Fredrik Stillman when he was the GM and I was working at a famous Swedish weightlifting equpiment manufacturing company in the early 2000's. They were scouting a facility to have their pre-season camp and I was the dude to try to sell it to them. He was super nice and gave his autograph on a message to my mother who turned 50 years old at the time. He also gave me free tickets to games a couple of times when my schedule allowed it. A really nice guy all around.

Some hockey nerds maybe recognize Oscar Fisker Molgaard, the Danish prospect from last year's draft. Also Czech star Radan Lenc and finnish D-man Oliver Kaski among others.

Apparently the climate was warmer back in the Viking days, making Northern climes(i.e. Greenland) more hospitable.

I went to see Beetlejuice 2 today. It ended up being a big disappointment for me (the wife echoed this).

Rings of Power season 2 finale dropped yesterday. Wondering what people are thinking so far. Season 1 was kind of a drag, IMO, but I thought season 2 was much better.

I liked it. Some parts was kinda boring and the casting is unfortunate for a couple of caracters, but overall this season is way better. Looking forward to S3.

I'm not caught up yet, just halfway through season 2 episode 6, but I've been mostly enjoying it. Honestly, I liked the first season well enough, roughly the same amount. I don't think either season has been good enough to make me binge the show, but both have been good enough to keep me watching while I eat lunch.

Binging is the only way I can watch a tv show anymore.

You're spoiled.
I remember when it took roughly five years to go through Lost.

It's more I'm disinterested in television shows than spoiled. I mostly spend my entertainment time on video games.

I can't watch any tv with commercials anymore. It's just a waste of time, time that is better spent elsewhere. Video games is also more fun than boring tv shows.
Luckily we have some public service channels here with no commercials whatsoever.
