Took me a bit to fully grasp what we he was saying but damn if he wasn’t spot on.
Eh, I was working for a net startup company in 1999 and this kind of thinking was already very common. It's the reason for the dotcom bubble. Love Bowie but TBH the more profound statement on the internet topic back then ironically came from Dubya when he said the internet turns hearts dark, to paraphrase. THAT was counterintuitive and has proven more true than any of us gave him credit for being possible.
His comments about the 70s representing a singular reality that became fragmented is more a statement about his own personal perceptions, and those of people his age at the time. Mainstream culture started being pulled in different directions due to political factors I won't get into here, but for a lot of people there was no single truth that matched the consensus reality. Plurality of perspectives and hidden agendas/issues always existed but were stifled.
Lol....taking that post a little too serious....
give Bowie his moment lol....but yeah, hardly leading edge thoughts even in 99.

Bolded I would agree there was this feeling that the world was being connected and more and more things out there learn/experience (not even going to the gaming side of things). Never saw the coming the cesspool that is social media mainly with Facebook even though I bailed fairly early for other reasons.
Still one of the best video games ever made. License to Kill with "Slappers Only" was always a good way to mix things up. Also you definitely had to ban people from using Oddjob since he was so short the auto-aim feature didn't pick him up -- true storyIt was a leading thought for me, then again the extent of my experience with technology back then was getting drunk with my buddies playing Golden eye.

21 years after GoldenEye N64 came out, it's official: playing as Oddjob WAS cheating
Stay safe, everyone.Lots of businesses boarded up downtown.
(Apologies if political)
1067 purchased 980 which is bad news for local radio.
Never though this was a big enough market for 2 sports stations, but if forced to pick one 980 was always better. Czabe, Pollin, Gaudi and Sheehan were better than anyone on 1067.
It sounds like they will still be on the radio which is good.
Masters in November. Feels weird.
