So, Bettman & NHL decide that you cant shoot the puck anymore? 1s left of the game, so Mikkola didnt violate any rule. And dont you f***ers come up with "unwritten rule"! If its not against the rules, why the hell does he get a fine? Id challenge this.

He was assessed a minor penalty and a 10 minute misconduct by the refs in the game for unsportsmanlike conduct. This is just the league feeling it rose to the level of supplemental discipline.
It was in no way an attempt at scoring, and he had circled back into his own zone and stood still with the puck as if waiting out the clock. He then waited until the final moment to take a high slap shot towards the opponents. Deserved penalty and fine.
