For sure there is a scarcity at the RD position. And Yak does have serious upside. I probably wouldn't make the trade but if a really good RD somehow landed in our lap or Chabot gets moved I'd maybe rethink that.

It would be a Dorion-esque sequence of events to pass on Dickson and Buium at number 7 to take the right-shot Yakemchuk, and then a year later trade Yakemchuk for a left-shot defenceman who went 23rd.

2 good games to start off the Mem Cup both decided by 1 goal.

Rimouski had a 3-2 lead going into the 3rd and lost it 5-4 in the final 2+ minutes. Pickford (2025 eligible) had 2 goals. Hunter St Martin (2024 193OA FLA) scored the winner.

London outshot Moncton 48 29 including 16-3 in the 3rd period. Rousseau was outstanding in goal for Moncton. Easton Cowan (2023 28OA TML) had a great game setting up 2 goals including the OT winner for the Knights. Sam O'Reilly (2024 32OA EDM) had 2 goals and the GWG.

London plays Rimouski at 6pm today

Not sure it would be an upset of biblical proportions, the games have been:

5-4 MH over Rim in the final few minutes
3-2 LDN over Mon in OT
3-1 MH over Mon with empty netter
3-1 LDN over Rim

W and O are the much stronger leagues, there's no debating that, and it's the very likely outcome

London (2-0) vs Medicine Hat (2-0) go tonight at 7 winner gets a bye to the final. The no day off for Medicine Hat could be a factor .
Hard to pick a winner in this one. Mistakes will be costly. Should be a fun one.

Moncton and Rimouski just played in the Q final and will play Tomorrow for a chance to play a semi final game.

Its been a fantastic tournament so far .. all the games are close and with a bounce could have gone the other way.

London’s drafted D are quite impressive.

Dickinson has been unreal, created so much last night and that skating that did everything to setup Montgomery’s goal was ridiculous. The play by play guys couldn’t stop gushing the whole game, wasn’t surprising he got the POG.

Bonk is calm and steady, not sure he’s going to be more than a #4, but he looks like he’s going to be a calming, Jensen like presence.

Jared Wooley has impressed me a lot throughout the playoffs. I remember a few people upset that he got invited to the combine last year instead of Mac Swanson. He looks like he’s is going to have a pretty good chance at becoming a bottom pair guy.

No issue with those who love Yak, but Dickinson has been on another level, not even comparable, this year.
