General Drafted Prospects Thread

Generals take game 1 over the Knights 4-2 with an empty netter
Dickinson had a strong game and logged a lot of ice time in all situations.
Andrew Gibson (2023 42 OA Nashville) who many would remember from Team Canada WJC U20 2025, known for his defense, scored 2 PP goals. The 2nd one he looked like a sniper putting it over Elliotts' shoulder from a pretty sharp angle. The Knights spent too much time in the box giving up 3 goals on the PP.

here is Gibson's 2nd goal I mentioned

Next game Saturday.
WHL playoffs continue tonight. Chiefs (Catton...) vs Tigers (McKenna...)
Q playoffs continue Saturday Oceanic vs Wildcats

Dickinson looked great last night. I haven't watched any London games this season prior to last night, but he looked like a dominant player at the OHL level.

One of the biggest questions I had with Dickinson leading up to the draft last year was whether the criticisms of his IQ/processing were legitimate or not. He got tagged with this low IQ label, but should he have? Yes, there were examples of him making the wrong play under pressure, but it wasn't clear whether those plays were evidence of a serious processing deficiency, evidence of a manageable/fixable weakness, or just run of the mill mistakes that all defenceman inevitably make. I mean, if anyone watched Pietrangelo last night against Edmonton, he had some egregious gaffes - they happen to the best.

Last night, I saw an exceptional processor. Calm and controlled.

He had a really good game and he's had many this year. He is still 18 and he has so many tools. London really leans on him in all situations. Very solid two way D. Pretty dominant at the OHL level now.
