General Drafted Prospects Thread

Not sure there are any similarities between both pairs aside from one being bigger and one being smaller in each. None are really remotely similar.

It'd be very nice if something happening before made it always happen though, I was definitely all in on Sanderson over Drysdale a long time before the draft, hopefully Yak turns out like Sanderson, but they’re so different in prospects in nearly every way

Impressive season for Dickinson; Lead London in scoring. Still 18 years old . He needs to continue to improve to take the next step. Lots of natural tools to work with.

Sanderson's best attributes are his skating, hockey IQ and defensive game, which are Yakemchuk's biggest weaknesses.

Also Drysdale doesn't have anywhere near the skill level of Parekh, who's probably the most talented D prospect since Dahlin. Had better skating before his injuries, but that's pretty much it.

Pretty lazy comparison, but exactly what you'd expect from Sens Twitter. Biggest group of homers you'll ever see (and that extends to every team's twitter hype men).

Noah Chadwick continues to impress in the WHL playoffs.
Tuning in to get some Yakemchuk viewings .. Chadwick is the defenseman that stood out to me. Easy to see why he's a finalist for D man of the year in the WHL
He is in his 19 y/o season as is Yakemchuk and another Lethbridge D man Caden Price 2023 84OA,
Chadwick the Lethbridge Captain and 185th pick overall in 2023 scored 2 goals last night and was rock solid on D
Easy to see why he's a finalist for D man of the year in the WHL. He plays a really steady game without a lot of flash and dash or risk. A very good all situations D man at this level.

Conroy says Parekh won’t be going to the AHL for the playoffs, kind of strange.

Said he’s played enough hockey this year, just work on his off ice and come ready for the NHL next year

I’d be pretty upset if I were a Flames fan, AHL should be a good stepping stone for a 19 year old.

Buium looked great in the first half of the game.

Had a rough 3rd period.

Slotting him against a top 3 team in the league on the road in your 1st game in the league in the playoffs is a choice
I just watched the 1st.. He looked good. Tough moment to step into for sure and Vegas is a very good heavy team playing for keeps

He will be fine

Parekh struggled a bit against a mediocre OHL team in Erie.

I don't think it would be good to feed him to the wolves in an AHL playoff series, especially when people could be looking to make a name for themselves. I don't think he is ready. Calgary is protecting their asset.

Messier had a lot of effusive praise for Parekh after seeing him in one of Flame’s games.

It’s just because he’s heading to the World Championships isn’t it?

only one game but he was good. He likely wanted to go to the worlds for exhibition maybe more .. its a good opportunity to represent your country..

I think we can respect Messier's opinion on what he sees .. he was a high level player and he played with quite a few of them,

Parekh not making Canada's World Junior team but making the World Championship team is such a hilarious indictment of Dave Cameron and Peter Anholt.

What a couple of absolute brainlets.
