Skate with the players was tonight. Both my kids had a blast and the players were so nice. Lots of autographs and a great pic with them and Lohrei. Always a great time. I’ll never forget Anton Blidh starting a snowball fight a couple of years ago with my son. Love this event. They should do it more than once a year.

I`m sure every NHL team and their affiliate do quite a few community events but it feels like the B`s do a ton which is great to see

Patrick Brown is actually good in Providence. It just goes to show you the gap between the NHL and Ahl God bless it.
Brown is an average skater at best, but his IQ and experience more than makes up for it at the AHL level. He was clearly one of their most effective forwards last weekend. But at the NHL level his IQ isn’t enough to make up for his skating. This is a clear example of how big the gap is from the AHL to NHL level. Feels close bc PBruins are the main affiliate, but it’s a long ways to Boston!
Look at Lysell, Merkulov, Harrison, McLaughlin - young (highly touted) prospects that are not even close to dominating at the AHL level, seems like they are a far cry from making a Boston line-up.

A few recent thoughts:
-- Lysell has been good lately (including tonight). He still probably isn't quite ready for primetime but he's playing better than he did at the start of the season.
-- Don't look now but DiPietro actually has better numbers than Bussi, He's been real solid this year. Who knows what his future holds but all he has done since being acquired is play well.
-- Farinacci has arguably been the best player this season. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets some games in Boston if/when an injury strikes.
-- I'm not sure what's up with Toporowski but he hasn't been nearly as noticeable the last month or so.
-- Megna is third in scoring but I feel like he barely makes an impact on the game. I'd be willing to bet most of his assists are secondary. As a vet, you'd think he'd stand out more than he does.
-- Boqvist's skating and puckhandling stand out...only problem is when it's time to make a play with the puck, rarely does anything happen. He's also on the list of biggest disappointments.
-- Conversely, I've liked what Brown has brought to the team in his couple games in Prov.
-- The D corps has been a mixed bag most of the season. For my money, Wotherspoon has been the best / most consistent of the group.
