Back on top and I believe a first round bye
Good start for Lohrei who had a big block late in the game
Providence over passed at times but otherwise played pretty well
5 games left

He had a chance to blast, or at least body up a guy behind the PB's net in the last two minutes. Could have snuffed out that possession for Hershey right there.

That's really my only critique.

Looking at last summer takes on this board Bruins weren’t making playoffs and no prospects - I think they have 3-4 who will play well in NHL for a long time

Lohrei
Lysell
Merkulov
Beecher

All should be regulars in the NHL
Looks like goalie Brandon Bussi could be added to your list. He's now played 30 games in his first full season with Providence. He has a 20-5-4 record with a 2.42 GAA and a .923 save percentage plus 1 shutout.

The Bruins have found multiple ways to construct good depth despite persistent low draft picks.

Given it is the Providence thread I'm gonna assume DKH meant from the Providence roster, and Poitras and Harrison are not there for at least a few more days

I never assume when it comes to Dan. He is capable of covering everything at once. For example, this is the Providence thread and he mentions the board last summer saying how the Bruins won't make the playoffs.

And Lohrei has been in Providence what, 18 minutes?

I have known Dan for a dozen yrs and spent many hours talking to him. He knows his shit. But he is also not going to talk about a prospect he doesn't know and I am willing to bet that's why he left out Poitras.

If you can get 1 per year, and once in a while 2 from the minors to be a regular contributor at the NHL level I think you are doing okay. The B's seem to be able to do this. The knock appears to be no high end talent, but that's hard to do when your first round draft pick is always near the bottom 8.

The B's have been fortunate to find some gems in rounds 2 or later (Bergie, Marchand) hopefully a few more are on the way.
