Saw that Providence signed Reading (ECHL) goalie Nolan Meier but he did not attend development camp.

Was there anything to read into that or did the Bruins just want to get a closer look at the college guys?

that sometimes happens for practice... remember Comcast affiliates w/ Reading but owns Maine, just like Providence has been privately owned but is essentially operated as if Delaware North actually owns the affiliate like you've seen the trend in the A THE LAST 10-20 YEARS.... It's also why Wallin is involved in the Development Camp as an instructor

Thanks. Didn't realize Meier was just signed on Tuesday - after development camp had already started.

the other reason is the Flyers were the ones to establish a pro franchise in the state beginning in 1977.... it's also why Boston came here in 1988 until the ownership group relocated 22 years ago as you've likely seen in this thread toward the end of last season where Providence had their anniversary post of the transfer from Portland to Providence, even though there's a different owner in Renfroe operating Providence ( hence the transfer to Northborough in the pandemic season) Philadelphia and Boston have been rivals off the ice and have met in preseason at Cross Arena (which Comcast built) and when the ECHL Team arrived from Alaska 6 years ago the 1st preseason game was Flyers/Bruins

Riley Tufte is an interesting singing - according to Dealer Donny he made great strides past two seasons

His stats back it up

He is mammoth and did get time with the Avalanche for a couple of weeks and in 5 games got a goal and assist

he doesn’t appear overly physical but his game seems to be trending up - and he only recently turned 26

This is a guy I’m looking forward to following

He’s 6’6 center who went 25 overall (hmm where have I heard that before)

He’s got familiarity with Sway & Freddie as well

What does the Providence roster look like at the moment. (For sake of discussion We'll say Poitras and Lysel, Plus regula in boston, and remaining in Prov)

F
Brown , Letteri, Merkulov, Farinacci, Nelson, Duran, Kuntar, Tufte, viel, Koepke
Not signed McLaughlin

D
Bavarro, Brunet, Edward, Mast, Mitchell, Osterle, Sweezey, Callahan (Do any of these guys end up in Maine?)

G
Bussi, DiPietro, Bischell.

Am I missing any other AHL contract guys?

I think the Bruins are at 41 contracts so far, so kind of hoping they can keep it closer to 45 this year.
