If Poitras is playing they want someone on the line with him who make the other team think twice about taking liberties with Potsie, and viel can do that, and Merkulov and Lysell can't

Well to score more than the other team, so i you do need to play both ends as well.

2d line, a kid from AHL or trade..
Say 3 M... down to 19, Say Geekie at 3.5..

Leaves 15.5 for first line
Trade could get 5 more

You forgot Lohrei, maybe what 2.5-3mil? No Marchy? I think a retool should be on 2 years path...

I thought Poitras got screwed last game with his linemates but this is ridiculous

Good news for ya. Viel is on a one way contract next year so chances are very good he will stick with the big club and not Providence. Maybe the can have a productive off season and add Marner, Bennett and Oliver to round out the lines nicely.

Bruins have no issue paying players on one way deals to play in Providence.

Brown, Jones, Tufte, Wahlstrom, are on one-way deals.
