Likely just to get them playing time but also saves a tiny amount of cap space.

Such a shame when the season is clearly a waste they could be shipping out roster guys taking up cap for assets and playing the kids to give them a cup of coffee before the summer’s work of what to improve for 25-26.

Nope. No way. Gotta fight for a playoff spot and end the season in 9th place in the East instead. Who will crap their pants in game 82 this year?
