Not saying it’s right, because I want to see several of them up playing NOW (can’t be any worse than what’s currently going on IMO) but maybe they wait until March 8 and bring them up where they can play more freely than in the current imagined playoff race? Asking for a friend. 🙃

They'll get their chance. I'll be shocked if Lysell doesn't get 10 games before this season is out (if he's not traded).
Why wait? Isn't it useful to know before the deadline what you can get out of those guys offensively, before you go and make more moves?

I don’t think they should be trading Lysell unless it’s in a deal for a young player coming back. They’re not a team who should be buying and that’s typically what you do when you move a Lysell type at the TDL.

He has to stop stick handling into three guys before he gets called up sadly. He loves thinking he has bedards skill set

All those highly skilled guys do that, though. Our own Pasta (and I am NOT saying Lysell is Pastrnak level) does that all the time usually with poor results. Brad too. It is the mentality of those types of players, and the Bruins don't have enough of that mindset on their team right now. I'd rather see a guy like Lysell try to pull of something in the o-zone than another Trent Frderic type who chips it in deep or sends it around the boards and end up giving it away anyway. There is a place for that, too, but not every guy needs to be safe that way. You can have 2-3 that look to generate something special.

Lysell needs to learn to chip it in deep imo. He is fast and should be able to chip it in and get behind the defence

Sure, and that may come with time and experience in the NHL. I think Pasta could do that a bit more, too. Brad will do that, but he doesn't quite have the speed and agility that he used to have. I still like that they are willing to try stuff to generate a scoring chance even if it fails most of the time.

Well it depends, this is his third season in the AHL, if they don't believe he is improving, and will ever become what they need him to be to play him. If there is someone who believes in him more than you do, then use the asset.

I will say I think he has a chance to produce offense in the NHL, but I am far from convinced he is some sort of elite offensive player. If he has something resembling Pasta's skill set he'd be in the NHL already. I tend to think his offensive skillset is more in the Connor Garland 45-50 point range type of player.

Brad definitely can drive me crazy trying to over stick handle. He had the same issue in jr. Maybe they never grow out of it.
