Good point about the points. But at some point, points do point to success and at that point you would think point to an opportunity.
So you aren't watching the games just the stats.

Poitras should be up. The rest I can't really make an argument for. Merkulov has had his look and doesn't look like an NHL player. Lysell still has a ton to work on, the whole game is just not speed. Maybe when he stops trying to beat three guys by himself he will get another look. Who else from Providence at forward deserves a look? I can argue Wahlstom, McLaughlin and Beecher should be sent down but who is taking there spots.

Can we judge Merkulov when he gets a 20 game chance with real minutes ?
Good thing we didn't give up on that 63 guy who didn't exactly kill it when called up
Or Boychuk whom several people said was just an AHL defenseman

He is now 2.5 years older than 63 was when he had his 20 game chance. Unless the Bruins decide to go completely into a full mini tank for this year they are not going to just give merkulov 20 games to show he can learn how to play at the NHL level

Of course Marchand earned it by showing he had the game to contribute to a 4th line

Teddy Bear toss. Continuing it after ice is resurfaced and will play last 5 minutes before 2nd period starts

OK, I have to ask. Is the teddy bear toss a collect teddy bears for local charities? ie people are encouraged to bring toys and throw them on the ice to donate? If so that seems pretty cool,

Or was it some not planned event?

1 point in his first 20 games.
When did he do better ? When he was given a chance to get off the 4th line

You can say that roughly 90 percent at least of P Bruins will not be NHL stats
As well as ever other AHL team

Statistics are in the favor of anyone who says this guy or that won't make it. But statistics don't play the game, people do

Merk has also been WAY more productive than 63 was in the NHL
And statistics will say that a player who produced consistently in AHL has a better chance than someone who didn't.
63 didn't explode until given a real chance...give it to Merk, or stick with the under producing players we have.
This team is going no where as constructed but let's keep complaining about the vets while not giving the kids a chance

It's planned. Junior league's have been doing it forever before Christmas and then they are given to charities for kids in need. Fans throw them on the ice after the home team scores. I know I London this year they collected over 14,000 stuffed animals.

I don't know why Hershey is doing it tonight. Maybe they didn't have a home game around Christmas? I haven't really looked.

Merkulov looked to be afraid of contact in Boston. There were times he would take a longer route to the puck to avoid contact. I love his skill but this really is a concern for me.

Small. Not super fast. But can shoot. This team could use that. I’d call up poitras first though
