It was all around a pretty poor showing from the team except for DiPietro and Brunet. I am trying to think who else had a good game but coming up with nada.
Wash, rinse, repeat.P-Bruins shut out 2-0. They need 3 wins in a row on the road to advance. There goes the opportunity for extended development the young players needed.
Check out the history of Bruins farm teams period. Very, very little post season success.Wash, rinse, repeat.
The story of the Providence Bruins in the playoffs for awhile now sadly.
Fabian Lysell. 0 goals, 1 assist, 0 shots on net. That's in five games.
That's the Bruins 2nd line RW next season.
I'm not convincedThat's the Bruins 2nd line RW next season.
Fwiw the team has only 1 goal in last 2 games.Fwiw, Poitras only has 2 points and is -4 in 5 games.
It's not looking like any of Poitras, Lysell or Minten deserve to be in next fall's opening lineup, based on their playoff performance.Fwiw the team has only 1 goal in last 2 games.

He only had 1 point in 4 games too.Ya but what about dans Locmelis :p

I share your concern regarding Poitras.Im more interested in what happens in camp and pre-season rather than what's happening right now. If the providence bruins went all the way to the calder and those three had underwhelming stats I'd be more concerned, but these bite size snap shots of the weird AHL playoff rules and numbers of games don't do it for me.
The one that concerns me most is Poitras tho, he's got skill but just can't stay on his skates. Can't get away with that if you're not David Pastrnak. Even if Poitras takes another step and gets stronger, is he really a guy you win a cup with? That's a major question for me long term.
Kind of a bad take after Poitras put up a point per game in the AHL and has 26 points in 66 career nhl gamesIt's not looking like any of Poitras, Lysell or Minten deserve to be in next fall's opening lineup, based on their playoff performance.
This scares me.Fwiw, Poitras only has 2 points and is a team-worst -4 in 5 games.

26 in 66 is kind of just not good though right? especially if that player is bad in his end? Poitras reminds me of spooner. Maybe he’ll figure it out for a season or two kind of. MaybeKind of a bad take after Poitras put up a point per game in the AHL and has 26 points in 66 career nhl games

Spooner had all the tools with the puck but he was lost without it. He is having a great career in the khl though. He has way more effort level and desire than Spooner. Just wish he had his skating.
