Providence Bruins General Discussion thread ‘24-‘25 II

I do like the new helmet rule. If your hat falls off during play, you have to head to the bench. Unless you want to throw a check or something.

Perhaps but my guess is he won`t be a regular NHL player for any of the other 31 teams
Maybe.

But the limited time he got to play, he looked good to me.

Especially with this season being over way before it was "over", there was no reason why Brown should of been getting minutes over prospects. Especially one who has had the numbers that Merk has has. He deserved a legit shot.

We already know who Patrick Brown is.

will be nice to have 4 of top 69 picks
That’s as many as they’ve had in the previous five drafts COMBINED.

And then another six picks in the first two rounds over the two drafts afterward.

I’m personally happy with how the Bruins draft anyway. But this influx is going to be massive in helping them rebuild their pool.

Funny how being the worst in the east has that affect.

Don't know what it looked like in person, but on the iPad, almost men vs boys.

I know it's only one game, but today will tell me what and how Matty P can adjust and improve on.

Watching Game two in-person vs Springfield (and a handfull in-person and 2-dozen on small screen), I'm wondering about that next gear and is it there. But too small of a sample size and limited hockey observational accumen.

my two things formerly known as pennies and defer to those who are locked in to the P-Bruins

Enjoy these days! I had 5 that played on that carousel thru HS and then 2 played college hockey and one played college lacrosse. Man I miss those crazy days!!! Enjoy!!

10000%.

What I wouldn’t do to go back 10/12 years right now, when a weekend in May would have included at least 3 baseball, soccer and softball practices, and likely a soccer game and baseball/softball game for each kid.

As well as probably a karate class, some sort of fundraiser/volunteer opportunity and maybe a birthday party, where I’d get to hang out with the “dads”.

It goes too fast!

One bonus to them getting older is that now I’m coaching JV softball with my daughter. She’s the HC, and I keep the book and coach 1B in the games that my work schedule allows me to get to.

It’s really fun watching them stay involved into adulthood, and being able to share in it.

This is awesome!! My oldest daughter was a head coach for HS hockey for 6 years( this was her first year not coaching as she stepped down due to some health issues). My youngest was Head Coach for JV lax for 3 but also stepped down this year as Work/pursuing masters was to much. I would get just as excited watching them coach as when I watched them play! Enjoy your extra time on the diamond with your daughter!
