Providence Bruins General Discussion thread ‘24-‘25 II

Bruins with more chances at the start of the 3rd.

Most notable action so far is the lack of it from the ticker
who says we are still in the second intermission.
Have no idea how far into the 3rd we are.

Not to be negative, but I dont see DiPietro as an NHL goaltender. Sorry.

For those who want to move out Korpisalo I would err on the side of caution on that.

Offensive Noticables: Lysell, Minten, Locmelis, and Poitras.
Viel had moments, as did Brunet and Mitchell.

Ortiz looks out of his depth.
2 minutes on him half way through the 3rd for a 3 second bearhug in front of the net.
Ticker is back: 11 left in the 3rd, still 0-0
Insane slot scramble in front of DiPietro on the PK. Amazing it is still scoreless.

Ortiz has been a disaster so far. Awful turnover in the crease that hit the post then a penalty (his second in as many games). I don't understand how the coaches could have watched him in Game 1 and said to themselves "we should put this guy in the lineup with our season on the line". Unless there are undisclosed injuries, Wanner or Millman should be playing ahead of him. Hopefully their season doesn't end because of him.
Ortiz with two more penalties in the third period,

Late scrambles in front of Ellis are not enough.
0-0 at end of Regulation

Full Sudden Death Overtime

Baby B's have to score or they are done.

This game is frustrating as hell!

Feel bad for my wife who has to get up to work stables at 645, but I surprised her by getting a ticket for a friend she hadn’t seen in 7 years so that’s been good

Poitras continues to move well but gets caved in no matter the competition. Not a great sign for him

Lysell is lights out with the puck on his stuck. He almost ended the game with 20 seconds to go
