OT: General College Hockey Talk

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

As a huge Falcons fan of 2+ hours, come on Bentley, pull this off!

Also, how awesome has this tourney been so far? 5 games in, all of them have been tied in the 3rd period, with only BU exploding to create a blowout. Two OT games (one 2OT), another GWG with 8 seconds left...so much better than the basketball tournament.

I have to be honest, I have no idea what the difference is between a 2 minute knee and a 5 minute knee. Like what video would make the officials change that from a 2 to a 5?

Also, in the regular season that's almost certainly a 5, at least in the AHA.

No Atlantic Hockey team is going to make the tournament "year after year" unless the entire conference starts playing significantly better non-conference in the regular season. It's hard enough for a dominant regular season team to win the AHA championship, and Bentley wasn't even a dominant team in conference this year (and probably won't be going forward as 4 of their 5 point leaders are grad students), and really isn't the marquee draw when it comes to facilities and program history in the conference either.

Just a completely ignorant comment from Buccigross when it comes to the reality of the AHA.

EDIT: I mean geez it's not even like this is an outlier of a performance from an AHA team in the tournament - as much as I didn't totally expect it from Bentley since I think they're probably in the lower tier of teams the league has sent to the tournament. These games are almost always close and competitive.
