Probably need to wait on the details of what happened to them. But, I think these days, we've all missed texts/calls from people and they haven't followed back up with us. I can understand that at his age, it would cause concern to most if they can't get a hold of him, but his wife was significantly younger, in her mid 60's vs 80's which is an age she can deal with anything. If she was close in age to Gene, then yeah, I think people would be more likely to want to check in on them.Ah geez all of that sounds horrible. Don't know how no family or friends check on them in 2 weeks. Really sad.
What I can't figure out is, he had 3 kids and was 95. Obviously his wife is in her early 60s so it's not like they need close monitoring but you'd figure someone would have checked in every day or 2? Sad.Wonder based on these facts if wife had medical emergency and collapsed in bathroom, Hackman who looked frail when last seen in public months ago fell while trying check on her and the dog ate some of the pills that fell on floor
No guarantee that his kids lived close by. Gene was living in New Mexico. What I can't figure out is, he had 3 kids and was 95. Obviously his wife is in her early 60s so it's not like they need close monitoring but you'd figure someone would have checked in every day or 2? Sad.
3 of my grandparents lived til 92-95, so they do become frail. Needing walkers or canes and needing people to help them around. Would expect that his wife would require some help with Hackman. Doing things like giving him a bath a couple of times a week as you need to be gentle to support him and she was quite a bit smaller than he was.Saw some recent pics of Gene and he was definitely on the doorstep to the afterlife. Unrecognizable and frail, which isnt uncommon for a 95 year old. The death of the wife and one of their three dogs is probably not due to natural causes. There is going to be something weird that comes out at some point.
