That Fortress of Solitude sun regenerator thing is going to be pretty useless in the winter (unless he has a fortress at both poles). This is hilarious because this is exactly how my dog would greet me too. This might be pretty good.

He's a snowbird, goes to Florida for the winter. Unless he sold his time share due to political reasons. That Fortress of Solitude sun regenerator thing is going to be pretty useless in the winter (unless he has a fortress at both poles).
I just saw there was a new version. Rushed out the door/bug-filled/wait for patches bad or a more fundamental screwing with the mechanics and what made the game fun? It's been a pretty gradual evolution since the original - better graphics and new techs and stuff with each new version - although I haven't even played VI.Not sure if this fits in this thread.....
But my goodness is Civilization VII ever horrific. I have been playing all versions since the Original Civilization game....and this one is basically un-playable. What a disaster.
I thought 6 was extremely good.I just saw there was a new version. Rushed out the door/bug-filled/wait for patches bad or a more fundamental screwing with the mechanics and what made the game fun? That sounds like fundamental screwing with mechanics ... I'll pass on this one.I thought 6 was extremely good.
7. Sigh, religion is all but removed, slow and clunky game play, need to build over "older" buildings - but no mention of which features you lose when you build over the old one, changing your Civilization each era....and each "era" having a timer on it (game divided into 3 eras all together)? You lose random cities to the other civs at the end of each era (and gain some random ones as well). When an era ends - you lose tons of your troops - and the ones they choose to let you keep - get moved to different locations all over the map - even if in the middle of a war or you have a nice border set-up against a rival civ. When the other civs have their turns and attack your troops - the screen does not go to that part of the map to show the battle. Just during your turn - you suddenly realize that your 2 archers and spearman are now suddenly gone with some barbarians standing there now.
Only positives so far....graphics are terrific, and for the larger rivers, you CAN move your boats along the river....not just stopped at ocean travel only. Diplomacy is a bit stronger feature now as well.
