If you are bored and need something to read I recommend one of the best Marvel / DC Crossovers, the four issue JLA/Avengers Limited Series.

JLA/Avengers #1 - Read JLA/Avengers Issue #1 Online

If you are stuck at home and looking for something to read or watch or listen too. I would recommend the Warhammer 40k Universe

Start here on Youtube
Luetin09

For reading
Black Library - Home page for Black Library

I would recommend that if you are reading the books not to start at the Horus Heresy. While this technically predates the 40K universe by taking place in the 30Ks, it assumes you understand a lot of the history and lore already. I recommend either Gaunt's Ghost or Eisenhorn as a starting point. They are hundreds of books by many authors some of my favs are Dan Abnett and Graham Macneill

While I love me some Gaunt’s Ghosts I say EISENHORN is the best starting point since it gives you a fuller look into multiple aspects of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Also the Gaunt books are more straight-up army/war stories whereas Eisenhorn gives you elements of detective story, war story, political drama, courtroom drama, and action story.

Can’t go wrong with either though.

I heard there was talk of an Eisenhorn live action TV series. That would be amazing. Hope COVID hasn’t killed it.

If you’re reading Eisenhorn series, the first book is XENOS.

For those who want a feel for the 40K universe before diving-in, this fan-film captures it very well:

Although the books recommended don't involve the Space Marines who are featured in that film. @Joe Hallenback if you haven't watched this fan film you MUST!

There is also "The Lord Inquisitor" fanfilm. I recommend it with some hesitation because while the guy totally nailed the look and feel of 40K, I think that the main character inquisitor does not seem like an inquisitor as portrayed in the lore at all. But ignore him, the rest is pure gold and 100% the 40K universe. I would recommend you watch from the start up to the 5:35 mark and that will give you the sense of Warhammer 40,000 you need to decide whether you want to delve into the world:

This is post # 10000 for me on HF Boards and I decided to make it about my avatar, Guardian. (aka Weapon Alpha, Vindicator)

Guardian (James Hudson) Powers, Enemies, History | Marvel

Guardian (Marvel Comics) - Wikipedia

First appearance Uncanny X-Men #109.

Uncanny X-Men (1963) #109 - Read Uncanny X-Men (1963) Issue #109 Online

Alpha Flight #1.

Alpha Flight Classic #TPB_1_(Part_1) - Read Alpha Flight Classic Issue #TPB_1_(Part_1) Online

The first is a little too early for me, but I have the second. (the original 1983 version)

I can't remember exactly what issue it was, around 10ish,, but on of the early Alpha Flight comics is set in Winnipeg and you can actualy recognize some of the buildings downtown in the fight scenes. IIRC at the time they were basing a lot of the background art on pictures readers had sent in.

Another one I have an original copy of. Their date is wrong though. Several of the characters depicted didn't even exist in 1974. It's early from the early to mid 80's

The bracket date means the series started in 1974, that particular issue is from 1982. They started denoting a comic series volume by the year it started because there have been so many series restarts at issue 1 in the last 20 years it starts getting confusing

Nah, just watch AEW or if you must watch a WWE product make it NXT, both are way better shows than the crap the WWE has most nights on RAW/Smackdown,

AEW has been a pleasant surprise for me.

Even the audience less shows have been entertaining.
