Maybe that's why I feel like maybe the ending shouldn't be a surprise. With Scott and I felt it earlier with Paul, WWE is just so corporate now. Granted they've always had a corporate angle, but now it's so in your face with the ads on the mat, all around the barricades, even ads on the announce tables and the Prime cart. It is like 70% advertising, 30% wrestling/storytelling.

Best matches of wrestlemania were the two triple threats by far. They stole the show both nights.

Cody/Cena was.....meh? It was ~okay and nothing more. Rock not being there is idiotic. They should have announced it before he wasn't showing up - so fans weren't waiting for it. It kind of ruined the match.

Yeah, makes sense. Shahid Khan has like $12B in net worth, so whatever AEW loses is probably pennies to him.

I like some of Travis’ music, but I don’t understand why they need a rapper involved in this storyline. I guess this is what happens when a Hollywood talent agency owns the promotion now. It would’ve been better if Cena saved his heel turn for the night of the match.

Yeah, if this is the angle you're running then there was zero need for Cena to turn at EC. He needed to turn here.

Right result. Bad ending. I'd have dropped the entire Scott stuff. I just don't think that works unless you think that person is a genuine threat to Cody. Also, if they're going to do Cody is a dummy white meat babyface from the mid-90s (not early 90s, Hogan was a sneaky whiner, #royalrumblejusticeforSid) at least have him look at his family and decide to drop the belt instead of caving to Cena.
