That must be a joke.
The defence that Canada just iced didn't even medal for the first time in decades.
I'm trying to explore solutions here..
Ones that Ive been talking about since the beginning of time.

Corrado is meh, Ceci is meh.
Hamilton(who had a worse tourney than Riellly) should be no where near the top pairing.
Tell Murray to heal quick and then roll with
Rielly-Murray
Hamilton-Ouellette
Harrington-Reinhart
/Pouliot
Done. Lol
I don't think Harrington is eligible, could be wrong though. Same with Hamilton and Oulette.
If he's not, you can go with someone like Dumba, Pulock, Koekkoek, etc.

Pfff.
So basically the same team + Murray and Rielly on the top line.
Yeah.
I expected that on this board.
Oh and Finn needs to be on the team too.
How could I forget? Silly me.
While we're at it ... Percy needz to be on the team.
And Devane.
Any other Leafs prospects?
Notice how there is no Murphy?
Also, take out Spott as well.
It wasn't the roster, we had the best one in the whole tourney. It was their on ice performance due to stupid coaching and puck hogging players.. Cough cough Murphy playing 30 mins a game
And the forward selection had nothing to do with it?
Let me guess...
Leivo, Brown, and Broll should have made the squad.
Hamilton - Oulette
Harrington - Rienhart
Corrado - Ceci
I feel like this team would have been a lot better with the steadying influence of Murray in the back but alas.

You are not getting it Bomber0104, just like Pierre McGuire could not understand that "can you believe it?!" was a rhetorical question. Around these parts it is not about accepting failure, as much as it is about playing the blame game or 'what if' to avoid the problem. Believe me, it'd be nice to get past step 1, which is to admit you have a problem. In this case, that'd be that Canada was not the best team, and that they were inadequate in every single category. This was a collective failure.

Forwards, defence, and goal.
Correct.
Forward...pansies.
Defence...pansies (and I'm sorry to say..but Rielly was a part of that)
Goalie... inadquate.
For sure. Murray would've done wonders for this Dcore.
You aren't sorry to say that. You are ecstatic. I have never seen you say one positive thing about Rielly. Ever.
I have been thrilled with his skating and passing ability.
Absolutely.
.........
Not to mention still being somewhat decent after missing a full year of development and playing against elite 19 year olds as an 18 year old.
But wouldn't that be almost admitting that Murray was the best D-man in the draft this year (next to Trouba)?
I refuse to believe it.
Murray was the best defensive Dman in the draft.
Rielly was the best offensive Dman in the draft.
Trouba could possibly be the best overall Dman in the draft, but right now I'd say its Murray. One tourney doesn't make or break a player
