Bad coaching and they have forgot how to play for the team. Sad to see from a Finnish group.

Yeah this looks more of a Russian team back in the days. Highly skilled individuals with bad coaching and so easy to get under their skin by just putting pressure on them.

Also no help from the goalie.

Jack Hughes is amazing but he has made alot of turnovers trying to showcase his skills. In the NHL the turnovers from tonight are likely to turn into fast counter rush! He needs to use his skills little more effectively!

That will probably come with age and more experience. Much harder to develop skills like that. It's just something you have. How good he will turn out to be in the end only depends how he manage to take his skills into the game.

US probably favourites for the gold as it seems, but i wasn't massively impressed by their game against Sweden. That wasn't really a 6-1 game at all. I thought Sweden controlled that game for most of the time but they let up a couple of easy goals while they weren't able to execute.

Sweden-USA it is and will we see an upset? I believe so, i actually do. But this US team is the best team without doubt. Hats off.

Interesting because Russia are having the most exciting goalie prospects out there nowadays. We have two, Luukkonen and Vehviläinen.

Don't forget Justus Annunen and Kaapo Kähkönen.
But yes the future of Finnish NHL goalies looks worrisome.

And offensively he is very uncreative player. I think this tournament has revealed his weaknessess as a player and I'd be really surprised if he goes top-10 next year. He just lacks skill and creativity you have to have nowadays to be a impactful player.

Can we play next season first before thinking that where Lundell goes in 2020 draft goddammit.
One bad U18 WJC tournament won't make Lundell 2020 NHL draft bust understood?.

I agree with that. He's not the Crosby-type of player that you can see playing a mature game at 18 years old. We will probably see a lot more of that from him. But i think he proves today that there is no doubt he will go first in the draft. Sad Kakko isn't there to match up with him. The young finn are up with the big boys against Sweden as we speak.

Kaapo could become something. I don´t think Annunen is a prospect for the NHL. Less potential than Saros and Husso ever had for an example. The Finnish team played well when they won with him as a net minder. His stats this year is nothing to be excited for either. Lassi Lehtinen and Joel Blomqvist are probably on the same level? But then again, it´s fun to see so much more promising players from Finland nowadays. But we don´t need 8 good goalies or something in the end, rather have 2-3 great goalies like Rinne, Kiprusoff and a young Rask.
Right now i only see Veini and Ukko with that potential, perhaps Kähkönen.
