I don't think it matters. Latvia is in trouble right now with the goal differential category. Team USA can lose today and Tuesday and still get through. I'd like to see Team USA give the Swedes a game today. Honestly, they haven't played all that poorly so far. The Slovaks were the better team yesterday and they dominated the Latvia game except for a couple minutes in the second period. I'll be satisfied with a loss as long as Team USA doesn't look like garbage. Just get them tuned up for the quarterfinals.

A big question: who starts in net? DiPietro played well yesterday and got the win against Kazakhstan. I think Grahame should get a start and if he looks bad, DiPietro should start against the Russians and whoever they face in the quarters.

I say give Graham the start today. After that pick a goalie and stick with it.

Forsberg wont play today. However nothing is wrong with him. It's just for precation.

That sucks.
Are they afraid of the US? Big, scary, dirty US? They might hurt Peter.

Or what the F is going on?

Probably not, why would Hatcher go after his teammate? I can't see any other US player do that, except from Chelios maybe oO. He just need to rest, got alot of ice-time against Latvia yesterday. He will play against Slovakia.

The U.S. team does not feature the kind of players that would go after Forsberg. They respect him. I'm expecting a good game from Team USA. They looked great yesterday and while I'm not sure they will, I think they can pull off an upset against Sweden.

US played really well yesterday, today they need to keep it up, and start capitalizing on their scoring chances. I think Grahame should probably start since he's rested, and unless he plays out of his mind they should go with DiPietro the rest of the way. US could probably make it out of their group even if they lose today and Tuesday, but I'd rather not test that out.

So, hopefully we get another great game to watch today, and are celebrating a US win at the end!

According to Swedish media, B-Ã… and the Swedish team implies this was the plan all along.

They want to rest Forsberg and not give any information of how Sweden will play until we face Slovakia on tuesday. Then we will see how Sweden wants to play in the quarter finals, with PP units, offensive lines and the whole deal.

Sweden has (finally?) understood that the round robin means less than the players on the paper and that the Olympics starts on wednesday.

I think the US will win, I watched their game against Slovakia, they look strong, good speed, thought it would be even more breakaway's from speedy Slovakians.

Will be an interesting game, sad that Foppa doesn't play but I understand the decision, he look tired at the end of the game against Latvia.

I think were gonna see an exciting game with lots of scoring chances.
Again Sweden has the better goalie and they looked scary agaist Latvia from time to time. It seems like they have gotten their engine runnig.

I think Lundqvist will lead Sweden to a comfortable victory with a b big game tonite. Would have been nice to see Foppa also, he really showed who's the boss against Latvia.

I would have gone with Grahame in net for this one. DiPietro does not perform well on consecutive nights. Lets hope adrenaline can pull him through.
