No way. That was on the follow through just like the Stevens / Lindros hit. His one foot was barely off the ice as the hit was already over.

Cant all of us Crosby/Ovechkin/Kessel fans just get along? I'm a big Crosby fan, but the other 2 are also special talents. These 3 players are possibly going to be the 1st overall picks in the years 04/05/06 in a row.

Its great news for the NHL that young "exciting" potential superstar players are developing.
 
Nilsson-Eriksson-Salmonssen have really been great tonite. Too bad nobody else is playing to their level.

Huge coming out party for Kessel.

Hey Im not complaining...he barely left his feet..and I mean barely....but it was a good solid hit nonetheless. Loui did get right back up however :D .

We have Crosby, Brule, and Johnson for 2005. And Kessel, Frolik, and Joenssu for 2006! And Mueller also!

I'm glad he did, though. I don't like seeing these young guys go down hard and get hurt in these tournies.
 
yikes, that 2nd kessel goal. USA putting together some nice passing both from the defense and their forwards. Fun to watch.

Trust Sweden to get USA back on their game.

Sweden has dropped to a second rate hockey nation.
