I predict a 4-2 win by Canada.

Slovakia seems to have a better team than Finland or Switzerland. Canada will dominate them but Halak will stand out and Slovakia snipers (Ruzicka, Zagrapan, Lascek) won't have many shot, but they will score 2.

5-1, Canada.

Canada: Carter (2), Getzlaf (2), Phaneuf
Slovakia: Zagrapan

6-2 Canada

Carter (2), Crosby, Stewart, Barker, Perry

Ruzicka and Zagrapan for SVK.

5-0 Canada

Goal-scorers: Bergeron, Crosby, Getzlaf, Fraser, Phaneuf

7-4 Canada-high scoring fasted paced game.

Bergeron (2), Crosby, Stewart, Belle, Dawes, Carter

Zagrapan, Ruzicka (2), Kutny

6-3 Canada

For Canada: Dawes (2), Carter, Phaneuf, Stewart, Crosby/Perry
For Slovakia: Ruzicka, Zagrapan, Sekera

3-2 Canada scores with 3 minutes left in the game (on PP), suprisingly low scoring. Canada has 3PP chances for and 7 penalties against.

I just can't see that line of Crosby, Bergeron, and Perry being held off the scoresheet. I think they will dominate this tournament, like the Richards, Dawes and Stewart line did last year. I think that Canada will win in the 5-1 or 5-2 range, and I just feel with the exception of their goaltending, that this group is near flawless. They are prone to some mental lapses, but what team isn't. The Russians stack up best to meet them in the finals, but with these short tourneys, sometimes we have some upsets which come out of nowhere and make things real interesting. I don't like the Swedes chances at all, and Finland is just too young to really compete for a medal at this time. Going back to the goaltending issue, I feel that the last two years Canada should have won gold, but their goaltending let them down in the final, so we have to hope for the best.

4-1 Canada
SOG : 33 CAN 17 Slovakia

CAN: Crosby, Bergeron, Richards, Carter
SVK: Zagrapan

Pretty much another dominating effort by Canada... butttt after this game Sutter won't be that happy after a couple of defensive lapses in the third where the slovaks tally one and hit the post on another late chance...

2-2!

Bergeron Carter
Zagrapan Ruzicka

Halak first star

If there is to be an upset, let's have it in the first game!

First I begin by :

Applying Pascal's Principle of Physics and the equation

PV = nRT

(knowing the mass and V(volume) & T(temperature) = Ice and its freezing point, P (pressure) = in the vacuum) ...(to determine the pressure on Canada to win)

Factor out the common denominator solved by dividing by the QUADRATIC Equation ....( ie. Net size compared to size of goalie in full equipment )

( x - h )² + ( y - k )² = r².

Keeping in mind that Albert Einstein's properties of ** E = MC² ** remains constant throughout ..

Then multiplying by the ALGORITHM to determine the Radius of the Circle r² ....(ie. Puck)

Mulipty by PI (~= pi = 3.14159) x R²

Apply the Square Root of Gold ....(Silver and Bronze may also be used but I have factored Canada winning the Tourney here)

Symbol: Au - on the Periodic Table whose Atomic number = 79

Finally solving for by using the simplistic Trigonometric formula ....(factoring in Shots on net, Scoring chances, Saves = goals)

cos A² - sin B² = 2 cos² - 1

Using the Pythagorean theory and rules solving for cos A

Which clearly then you don't need to be a Rocket Scientist to determine:

FINAL SCORE :

5-1 - Canada.

Canada: Bergeron (2), Carter (2), Dawes
Slovakia: Ruzicka

Scientifically correct with an error factor of +/- 1 goal ..
