Not a huge Jey fan, don’t hate him either but was it ever nice to have a legit surprise Rumble winner especially have the predictable Cher-lotte Flair win earlier in the night.

So many good story possibilities heading into Mania as well

Curious if Cody is actually hurt or if they're just milking it. He wasn't at the post-show and Jackie mentioned in an interview that his in ring status is up in the air.

Bliss may have been a top three pop of the night. Definitely top five.

Charlotte's reaction seemed mixed then the commentators seemed to go overboard hyping her up to make up for the mixed crowd. They really laid it on thick about her greatness so we knew she was a worthy Rumble winner before she won.

In the big picture Jey winning was a surprise however once it was down to three I thought he was going to win. Not quite the yes movement but many fans are behind him.

Watched along while running around salt lake city, thought it was really bad

No returns, no shock entrants (we all knew JH was in) (Alexa being the one shock)...the Jey swerve was meh since he just lost a title match, shouldn't have had that match if this was the plan

Best part was Seth curb stomping everyone and Bron spearing everyone

Watching the presser and f*** it. We ride for #17

By the formulaic approach they've used several times. Long time midcard vet who has never won the big title but their scrappyness prevails starting with crowd support, a test main card push and a run starting at the rumble and ending at mania ... Benoit, Cody, Drew, Rey. And adjacent to winning the rumble but same approach, kofi, Daniel Bryan.

We had people complaining, here and elsewhere, not without merit, that they didn’t use winning the women’s rumble to elevate anyone and they did exactly that 2 hours later in the men’s rumble

I was gonna give him props for selling that spear and then re-watched it and instead will say bravo to him for being willing to eat a spear. Don't think you have to do much selling there
Looked like Speed turned the wrong way and turned a little too slow. At that point Bron had to commit. He definitely ate that.

Thought maybe they'd have Cena win it so he could tie SCSA for most rumble wins.

I think he's still getting the belt at some point this year to break Flairs record but it won't be longer than a 2 or 3 month reign (yes, I know HHH likes long title reigns but these would be special circumstances)

I’m wondering if after that press conference last night that we’re gonna finally get at least part of that John Cena heel run we never saw. It could be that part of this farewell tour is servicing that creatively. He did mention at the last press conference about perhaps incorporating past characters.

Another thing would be, do they finally get him to a grand slam. He’s never even had a match for the intercontinental championship. These are really the only things he has left to do in the company.

I would 100% agree with you if they didn't just have him lose to the champ in underwhelming fashion...now they can rebuild him bt now and then...but the point still remains

Bliss got an unbelievably loud pop. Proof that character work is what draws, not in-ring work. She's always been "meh" in the ring but she is arguably the most over woman on the roster. She can talk better than all of them, her mannerisms are better than all of them, and she has the unique look with the Fiend/Harley Quinn connection.

Can't stand Charlotte. The fans turn on her in no more than two weeks tops. I wonder if Trips knows what he's doing here.

Idk if Cena goes heel but he might bring out a darker side if he keeps losing, which is always welcomed.

Seth beating the f*** out of Roman was a sight. That guy is becoming more unhinged by the week and I'll bet it culminates in a mania match between the two.
