It was a strong game for Xhekaj, Farrell had a solid game as well. Engstrom was better after one of his worst games of the season on Friday night. Hughes made some big saves, I thought it was one of his better games.

Xhekaj has elevated his game to another level. I did not expect him to be this good this quickly.

The Lad is still growing as we speak. The fact that he started the season as a shut down go to was a great indication of what they think of this guy. Not worried about losing Evans at all Florian is a superb penalty killer...

He’s not going to be Evans. Evans is a way smarter player. At least so far.

The rapid growth of Florian Xhekaj is eye opening and to say he isnt as smart as Jake Evans is inaccurate. Evans played 4 full seasons in the NCAA while Florian played 2 seasons in junior. Folks need to start watching this kid...the amount of improvement from game 1 to now is impressive to say the least.

It is. I’m just not sure it’s a good comparison. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see him make the Habs.
