That was part of the gamble they took and it’s paying off.Laval wins game 1 and that is huge. Great play late by Condotta
I think someone said Fowler was getting game 2 already. And if he only allows 1 or gets a shutout, you better believe that he stays inNot sure that happens.
Are you sure about that? We are talking about a goalie with a .953 sv% sitting in favour of one with an .880 sv% against the same team. Seems like the staff just doesn’t want to hurt someone’s feelings.I think someone said Fowler was getting game 2 already. No it's not. Fowler would have allowed some of those same goals. Primeau won the game.Time to ride Fowler..
Not sure that happens.
If Fowler is scheduled to start the next game fine. Then you go back to Primeau for Game 3. And if Primeau has a weak game then you stick with Fowler after that.No it's not. Fowler would have allowed some of those same goals. Primeau won the game.
I have faith in Fowler but folks need to lighten up on Primeau. For what it's worth, Marcotte and his color commentator in the pregame show on BPM Sports said they believe on Friday, it will be Fowler.
Reason is because Game 3 is next Wednesday in Laval. So they will try to keep both goalies warm and not allow one or the other get cold from inaction.
If they had to give a game to Primeau, it was definitely game 1. Don't want to make the switch halfway through a series. He got his opportunity. Unless Fowler really craps the bed which probably won't happen, Primeau wasted said opportunity. If Fowler wins game 2, I suspect they might go back to Primeau to give him one last chance but something's gotta give. They have to pick one by next roundAre you sure about that? Americans have so many relatively high pick (10-20ov) at forward on their AHL squad. Isak Rosen, Jiri Kulich, Konsta Helenius and Noah Ostlund in particular jump off.
In a way, it's a sad reminder of the fact the Sabres constantly have those high-ish picks because their rebuild never ends.
I'm confident that's the plan. He said both will play in Rochester if I remember correctly. Not sure that happens.
Yup that's my doingLOL We just need to crap on every player early in the GDT next game for solid results.![]()
Primeau will be playing for another org next season, he has no future w Habs orgI have faith in Fowler but folks need to lighten up on Primeau.
I just don’t see how when one has just shown you two sub .900 games and is not part of your future. If they had to give a game to Primeau, it was definitely game 1. I don't disagree with you but if management decides that Primeau is their best chance then that's good enough for me. This team busted their asses to compete for a long playoff run and if Fowler ain't the guy right now then he sits.Primeau will be playing for another org next season, he has no future w Habs org
Why? He is mentally weak, the worst thing that a pro athlete can be.I have faith in Fowler but folks need to lighten up on Primeau.
Not sure that happens.
