Laval Rocket: GDT: Laval at Rochester- North Division Finals GM1- 7:05 PM

Looking through Rochester's roster I see a team that is surprisingly small. Laval has the advantage in that regard. Clague and Brannstrom have almost 300 NHL games of experience and are good puck movers but they are small. Forecheck them relentlessly.
I’m a bit surprised they haven’t kept their big 4th line together for the playoffs (so far). Flojak, Tuch and Arsenault were a menace to play against. Dineen fit in very well too. I know they have a lot of healthy forwards though. I wouldn’t be surprised to see these guys reunited at some point.

I am surprised that Tuch isn't playing. Maybe Hughes sees that he isn't as promising as many thought.

If Laval gets to shut down Kulich and Rosen and some other of their top players the way they shut down DBB and Fix-Wolansky, they have more chances to succeed.

Because as you mentioned earlier, Devin Levi will be hard to beat. So it's important to stifle Amerks' top players so they don't come back and hurt you.

I also expect tonight's game to have some rust as Laval's been out for over a week and Amerks' last game was 2 weeks ago.
I can’t picture Levi being any more frustrating than Greaves was. Another slightly undersized goalie btw. Heavier, but still only 6’

not a fan of molson but it’s way better than american water

Molson beer is piss water but American beer needs to be split into 2 types, piss water and micro brews. They make some outstanding IPA's, Evolution in Maryland, Sierra Nevada in Cali, New Belgium in Colo, etc.. are cream of the crop imo. Although I'll take a Sammy Smith's Oatmeal Stout anytime over most beers.

not many thought he was promising, much like when Struble had only 1 goal, I kept being told by posters here that no way would either be signed by us. I kept telling them they would be signed and they will play in the NHL, I just never believed in either one of them having much in the way of offense.

Tuch missed 7 weeks and has not looked good at all since returning, though in the final 3 games of the regular season he did get 2 pts. For the life of me I do not understand how the coaching staff thought it was a good idea to put Gignac in after missing 5+ months, and before the injury in his last 7 games he had 1 pt and just did not look good this season (though he was really good last year)

Even RHP, he missed 6 weeks and then he's right back in the lineup, now he is more of a playoff type so using him over say Mesar or Kidney does make sense.

Tuch has had injury problems. There is also internal competition. Davidson may not be quite as big as Tuch, but Jared plays just as hard while bringing a lot more offense.

I guess they're going to go with the approach that it's Primeau's job until he loses a game, then Fowler will come in until he loses a game, etc.
I wouldn't bet on that, I'm pretty sure Fowler is getting game #2 even if Primeau win tonight.

I believe Laval have another 5 days break after game 2.

Whenever I go to a bar I just order whatever beer is local that I probably have not even heard of.

The only "name brand" beers I can enjoy are Samuel Adams.
have you had Rainier Beer? Good stuff

People will complain about Primeau starting n all, and I get it I really do

But it's not INEXPLICABLE as to why they are

Of course Fowler is the future
But you just cannot underestimate what *technically screwing over* your AHL starter that helped you even get there
Does NOT sit right with players in that room, it just doesn't matter what you say I'm sorry
You don't f*** with the vibe of a team

It's not about 'don't care, primeau is not in future plans, management should only care about cultivating future talent'
This goes so much more beyond that

What's *right* is letting Primeau finish off his career with the organization as best as he can
Even *if* Fowler is the CURRENT better goalie even right now

The ONLY reason Primeau didn't start and play those Fowler games is ONLY because of the Montembeault injury

Fowler will be playing 50 AHL games next year anyway there is no point making it 'awkward' for the team just because we as fans want so much to see a 2007 Price miracle again

Let it just be, if Primeau shits the bed, THEN you go Fowler
Simple as that
But this new management isn't about 'disrespecting players'

It is important for the baby Habs to handily and soundly defeat the baby Sabres this series, as by doing so they can establish a precedent that can live on in the nightmares of the Buffalo Butterknives organization for the next decade.
