Yeah I agree. The first thing that stands out everytime to me are his hockey smarts, in all three zones.

Primeau has proven over and over to be a great AHL goalie. Speaking of scary, he's playing on a team that graduated Dobes who scares me anytime the puck enters our zone. A true throwback with his unconventional technique.

In draft room video Bobrov said that he want to have this guy and he is a unicorn. Maybe Lapointe got his word aswell. But it's Bobrov call Xhekaj a "unicorn".

He's a legit first round talent that they picked in the fourth round. It's not like it took time to show his upside either, he was great straight away after he was drafted.

I felt at ease with Dobes. Something about his aura.

He had an excellent game. Give him the net again. The goalie battle will be very interesting at camp if they keep Primeau. Dobes hasn't completely won his spot yet.

But it's just so interesting we as fans focus so much on everyone playing 100% perfect every second of every game I find lol

But then you watch the playoffs and I'll see Pietrangelo fumble a puck or ice it randomly
I'll see Ekblad get caught by a faster player
I'll see Miro Heiskanen have a turn over

It's just interesting we focus so hard like that like Reinbacher will make 1 mistake and it's

Fans are fans. I see Jekyl/Hyde comments on other team boards. These are all pro hockey players in a professional, competitive, ferocious sport. Opinions are good, but idolizing then thrashing the same player... A good play and people are clamoring for a spot in the NHL, a bad play and the bum needs to sit....same player being talked about!!!!

Big ice / small ice adaptation here. He's going to figure it out i'm sure. He needs physical maturity and to learn how to use it but the IQ and skills are there as well as work ethic... no rush, nice prospect.

Only thing stopping Reinbacher to be a top4 in the NHL are injuries. He's too good at everything else to not be able to fix details in his overall play. You don't get that good by chance. Also, MTL's management has made such a big stride in their player developement, especially in their Player Skills departement, I trust them more than ever before.

Remember when MB was telling everyone that the developement of our top prospects where 100% on the player lol. Good times.

Hes great but we havent seen the true Reinbacher yet that pushes the pace with his size and skating. Hes a true menace when hes fully confident.
