All the kids played great under Vincent. Best season in Laval's history can't be ignored and Vincent did a formidable job.
OFFENSE...yes. Defense, not so much.

It's not the goals they score, it's the goals they stop others from scoring. In a series like this, it would be massively apparent.

Lastly...we don't all watch the game the same way.

Evans contract is blocking Beck's path to the habs as a 4th line center. But playing him on the wing makes no sense, he has never been a winger growing up, he should still be develop as a center and could be a trade chip or replace evans in 2 years.

My friend has been attending this series. Good observations:
“They were undisciplined and totally out played.
Florian is insane …
He is a combination of a lot of massive shit disturbing players …
Owen beck was the only player that stood out.
Rienbacher will be good….he needs more seasoning, he’s very young .
Mailloux tries to do too much …
The Checkers are a team filled with older players …
Just men against boyz .
They got under the skin of the rocket.
Both are goalies sucked …
That’s the bottom line …
Most notably, the hype about the coach …
I saw no discernible system…no adjustments…
And the lack of discipline is a direct reflection on the coaching staff …”

I'm thinking, couldn't the Habs sent Dobes down so the Rocket could use him?

Charlotte just swept the twice defending champions. They're clearly a wagon this year. Way to much negative prognostication going around based only on this series. Charlotte is not beating them on skill, but on experience, the little details that make up a good pro team.
Charlotte played in a much stronger division and we got blindsided by a team that plays a very hard on the puck all over the ice game we haven't really seen in our division. The execution levels are not in the same stratosphere. I'm astounded by the difference in the quality of playmaking to be honest.

And to think I thought Laval were playing a physical style. lol

I feel like the Habs org. has been too shy about this for far too long when other clubs has been arming themselves for war for years. Time to wake the Hell up.

ABSOLUTELY

I'm repeating what is a religious mantra for me...for the kids to get better, push them to the next level.

If Laval was in the Checkers division, it would be apparent early on that we needed a better coached and more structured team to be competitive. We got away with playing a really competitive offense but not as much defensively. Now we see it and it's abundantly clear.

On top of that, undersized players like barre-boulle of the team would not be leading our scoring.

Whatever...just see it as a lesson...

True if you look at how our big club got destroyed by Florida for 2 plus seasons before we found a way and a belief and then swept them. You have to play against the best to learn how to beat the best.

They need to stop playing like a bunch of bitches and start playing the body and punching faces.
