I know nothing about Charlotte other than they have very few prospects and are very heavy with AHL Veterans.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League has announced the chedules e NHL’s Montreal Canadiens) and the Charlotte Checkers (top affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers).

The Rocket, who won the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as the AHL’s regular-season champions in 2024-25, are in the conference finals for the second time in four years. The Checkers are the first Panthers affiliate ever to reach the AHL’s final four; Charlotte won the Calder Cup in 2019 while affiliated with the Carolina Hurricanes.

The best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals get underway Wednesday night at Place Bell in Laval, Que.

Not a fan of the 7 game format at all. If they Split on the road and the Checkers take 1 in Laval, they go back to Charlotte for 2. You’d think they would do a normal 7 game setup at this stage. The ahl needs to spend a couple bucks in these last 2 rounds.

They also should invest in video replays to challenge plays like the Gignac goal or the off side that cost Fowler his shut out against Cleveland.

Ya that was a head scratcher considering Dauphin did the exact same thing on the Roy goal.

There was a time not long ago that goalies would routinely play back to backs.
In Vincent I trust...I guess.
You know, I get that the kid just turned pro, but if all the hype is true, maybe it’s time to step up? He’s supposed to be a resilient winner. I personally would’ve come back with Primeau especially with this crappy format, but let’s see.

Giving away home ice advantage makes little sense. I wonder if Charlotte will play 2 goalies...

Seriously.........this is strange guys.......there is some sense to it, but really it should be Primo until he craps the bed, which hopefully doesn't happen.

Here's hoping.........
Who cares about Primeau? He's gone after this season. The important thing is get develop Fowler and get him in there playing big games.

Fowler isn't the only prospect on the team. They are also developing guys like Reinbacher, Mailloux, Engstrom, Xhekaj, Kapanen, Beck, Roy etc.

Primeau has been fantastic so he deserves to play and allow them to move on in the playoffs to help the young guys gain even more experience.

Why is this so difficult for some to understand? If Fowler isn't ready and fails miserably, does that help him develop or screw his confidence up? Primeau is still a member of the Habs organization and shouldn't be discarded at this point. Let him finish what he started.

Primeau is the reason they finished the season so strong.......I get the Fowler development thing, but the team wants to win, and you can be assured Primo has the guys in the room behind him, not the new college kid....

I am just thinking of the team, and the playoffs.
Fowler will get a shit ton of development in Laval, next year. Proper thing....
