I would guess he'd rather sign a one year deal and be picked up on waivers than go to Europe. Not based on any info I have, but I don't think it really makes sense for him. There's an open back up spot in Montreal for him to steal during training camp.

I doubt it. He doesn't seem like that kind of guy. I don't think he's been treated unfairly.

He's finishing a 3 year contract that was one way despite playing in the minors the first year. He also made $1.1m this year, which means his qualifying offer is also $1.1m.

I expect Montreal to qualify him. Primeau would be stupid not to accept it. After that, we'll see what happens.
