Laval Rocket: GDT- Game 3 Cleveland at Laval 3 PM EST

I'm surprised they went with Primeau here, he's only played in 2 games over the last month, and with Fowler getting a SO you would think most coaches would go with the hot hand but they are in the drivers seat with the 2-0 lead and up to 3 games at home.

Personally, I think that it would have been better for Price's development if he had really earned his spot instead of just being given the spot. Maybe some of the difficulties he had later on with us (feeling like a hobbit, crying after his first playoffs loss where he imploded, the fact he had to be in the NHL program for a bit, etc) could have been avoided if he had had a slower acclimatation to the NHL.
I watched all 22 games in 2007. Price was spectacular so it worked. Bob Gainey made the decision and it turned out to be the right one. I think he should have played the next season in Hamilton and for that he was rushed.

Guy Carbonneau was the coach at the time and he said on Antichambre that he told management at the time to leave Price in the minors to get some more seasoning. But Gainey had superseded him him and said that Price was going to be in the NHL.

As for Fowler, he did say that when he signed to turn pro, management were open and didn't promise him anything.
