Laval Rocket: GDT: GAME 2 Laval at Rochester 7:05 PM EST

I thought Fowler made some really big saves that if not this game would have been over early, the 1st goal though he's got to stop as I don't think it was deflected. Perhaps Mailloux's best game of the playoffs, he has stepped it up in the playoffs, also a good game from Reinbacher and Xhekaj was a itching to hit people.

Tough game for Laval though as they did not look very good as a team, Farrell with his worst game of the playoffs, Roy struggled for the most part, ABB as well.

I was interested in checking out the TOI but they don't track it in the game report.
I think some players had too much while others had too little.

How do you guys feel about the higher seed starting on the road?

I guess a split is fine considering the circumstances.

Probably.
This board has all kinds of Jekyl/Hyde characters!!
One minute Fowler is the greatest, ready for the helm, Primeau is a bum. Mailloux, Florian, Engstrom,..... and others are given roster spots on the Habs. The next, they are all bums!
They are all prospects, just prospects!
Fowler is good, but he played on a very good Boston College team.
Mailloux was good on a stacked London Knights squad.
Remember good prospects!

True. But my comment was actually a reaction to the empty netter lol

Kulich also is showing us why Mesar was such a dud pick his line owned this game.
Didn't he start on the wing this year he looks like he can play center.

He plays center. He was #1 center in Buffalo for a bit this year when injuries hit. When Thompson got healthy, Kulich was moved to wing.

Thompson, Cozens/Norris, McLeod, Krebs were the 4Cs. He's made Buffalo's squad. He was sent down after their NHL season ended to get play-off experience.

Fowler is 188 cm tall, he's big boy too at 215 lbs. He looked shaky tonight but he's not small.

I like the goaltender drama though. I wonder who start the next game.

I would love to see if there's a difference in home team success rate in 2-2-1 series vs 2-3 series where the home team starts on the road. I imagine there's a difference, but I would guess that it's small.

PP was not very good and the PK didn't fair any better.

M...played a very good game with a Bobby Orr end to end rush, but he also missed a great scoring chance from the circle.

R...needs to slow things down and pace the game. It's not in our favor to turn this into a pond hockey game so part of that is to take the puck behind the net and slow the game down.

Fowler...some amazing saves, some stinkers.

LX...needs to pull it back a notch. I love his game but he can't take multiple penalties against a team that can convert.

Not much Xhkaj can do. He is targeted by asshole officials like his brother.

there must be some stat that says it works cause when I checked, it looks like almost every team chose this route outside of one or two series (I didn't check every one but several of them) and all in this round I believe. I don't get it to be honest, I would think going 2-2-1 would be the better way to go.
