Great game from Xhekaj, Davidson as they really got under the skin of the Monsters, though that 1st "roughing" call on Xhekaj was so weak, just bush league to call that in a playoff game. Another good showing for Farrell who easily could of had 2 or 3 pts after getting 2 goals in game 1. I thought Beck had a good game as well. Fowler wasn't tested much but he made the saves he had and I think it would be silly to put in anyone else for game 3 on Sunday.

Roy has been mostly invisible for 2 games now, he looks disinterested, not a great sign for someone that got sent down for lack of intensity (I believe I read that). Kind of a rough game for Reinbacher, people give me shit for posting my opinions but I have said I think his offensive game has been underrated around here but his defensive game is overrated as he does need to improve there. I know many keep saying a Hutson Reinbacher pairing but I think Guhle Reinbacher 2nd pairing is the way to go.

Two things I totally agree with...Reinbacher struggled and Roy was invisible. One thing I know about Vincent is he won't hesitate to scratch Roy if he doesn't pick up his effort.

How dare you critize an habs prospect hehe? I do think Reinbacher gonna need more time in the A. Lots of people pencil him in the lineup next year but he needs more seasoning IMO. It would only be good for him, he missed lots of games. Let’s not rush him.

The knock on him was always his defensive play and its good so far. He really need to focus on that. He’s got good size and a good shot. Can be a useful 3rd pair pairing with some toughness.

He’s making the team next year at 4C, pretty sure of it. I don’t think they will resign Dvorak. He didnt talk like a guy they made an offer to. Flo can bypass Beck with a strong camp. We need a guy like him so much. Anderson cant be the only physical foward. He’s gonna have the summer to beef up.

I wouldn't mind if Florian started the season in Laval and was called up mid season. it'll depend on who Hughes acquires and what kind of camp Florian has.

Unfortunately for Carey and fortunately for Fowler and us fans, he'll probably have a better career than Price just due to the team infront of him. He'll literally be coming in when the habs become cup competitors. Price was asked to carry a subpar team on his back for years. Fowler will be asked to just be solid and not mess up

It would take him to have a meteorous rise this summer to even get to being NHL 4th line from AHL 4th line. He's at least another year from even thinking about the NHL.

Even just asking the question is incredibly insulting to Price. The last Habs drafted goalie coming close to Price was Roy, arguably Dryden.

Habs amateur scouting kept Habs from drafting well not Price

Price didn’t tell them to pick McCarron vs Shea Theodore who was next up at their draft position on central scouting list. Price also didn’t tell Habs to select KK instead of Tkachuk etc.

I’m excited about Fowler but at the end of the day, I don’t care what the name of our best goalie ends up being. I was a huge critic of Primeau, but he did earn the starters job in Laval and I think they need to find a way to keep all 4 goalies next year and see who emerges as nhl material. If Primeau has figured things out, it’d be a huge mistake to let him go for a throw away draft pick. Not to mention the Habs got extremely lucky this year when it came to goalie health. That probably won’t happen next year, so better to have more than less.

Better off for everybody to move on. I'd assume Primeau has no interest to get a backup job in Laval and players on the big club understandably have zero confidence in him.

IMO the most positionally sound G to ever play the game w added benefit of being a huge help to D as one of the all time greats at being able to handle the puck - haven’t even broached the calm emotional makeup needed for playing in the frenzied market he did for as long as he did

1st round for sure imo. I 100% thought it was a nepo pick because the one game I saw in his draft year he was terrible. I've been doing this a long time and I can't say I have seen too many prospects go from that to what to showed last year to this year, it's flat out amazing to me as a long time prospect junkie. I always say that with prospects it's ALL about progress or a lack of, and his progress is off the charts.

But you also admitted you only saw 1 game so..maybe he hasn't made a miraculous improvement and you just caught a bad game lol
