For sure but he isn't the only high end goalie still in the minors, Wallstedt, Cossa, neither have busted through.
Spencer Knight drafted in 2019 is finally breaking through.
Price drafted in 2005 was not the playoff starter in 2010.

Then it makes 0 sense that the higher seed would start on the road.. you might be facing elimination before you have a chance to play in front of the home crowd?
Considering that Laval has missed the playoffs several times tells you how brutal this organization has been until recently.

Ya. They’re so cheap with the travel. I’m assuming Laval agreed to this though.

Reinbacher give me wrong vibes. He is being protected by training less but that also raise question about why would he need to play then? If he is not 100% fit shut him down until next year. No need to risk his long term future for one AHL playoff game.

This is part of his return to play program.. there's no concern here on how they are handling him, this was the plan from the minute he was injured and begun his rehabilitation.
They don't want to add additional stress or recovery time where it isn't warranted. That's why he is playing tonight with no limitations but there isn't a point in also putting him through a practice to put more stress on a body part and surrounding parts that were impacted by the injury.

It's not ideal, but it's just how they do things in the AHL sadly. It's 2 more games of wear and tear on them, so at least there's that. We also know that as long as we take at least one of those games in Cleveland we'll be in a good position.

Sharks did the right thing and didn't rush him into their lineup full time this year, their defense was absolutely disgusting and had guys like Henry Thrun and Timothy Liljegran as their top pair.
He's been awesome in the AHL for 3 years now, I'd be surprised if he doesn't turn into an excellent NHL goalie.

I heard Laval was given the choice to start on the road or at home, but the series is a 2-3 format.
Not a fan of RHP anymore but he probably won’t hurt them at least.
I'm currently in Cleveland for completely unrelated to hockey reasons but I have met a couple of Habs fans walking around which is cool
