Wow. What a beauty by team Finland. Nummelin with a delitful pass and Peltonen with a great shot just inside the upper corner pipe. Oh, right... This was a PP goal.

Edit: Finnish players are testing Norrena as well since the italians has done so poorly lately. :D
 
All thanks to Norrena who does a great job keeping the puck in play on the PP. Norrena not credited with an assist, someone got in between.

Well, in this game it´s hard to score 5on5 because Finland is almost all the time on PP ;)
 
The second period is over and 4-0 lead for us. All the goals have been scored in the PP so at least the PP is working for us. Well done. Now the task left in the third is to score a couple even strenght goals as well. The team Finland added a little more movement and more intelligent play as I thought they would.

I am not worried that they haven't scored any 5 on 5 goals against Italy. The PP is working well and that should help with the better countries. Of course their PK is better too.
 
I have a feeling that Jere will score once more in the third. He looks smarter than ever in his movement out there.

I hope that Norrena lets in a soft goal or so that we get Niitty back for the harder games.
 
It's a pitty that I don't understand finnish language, otherwise I could follow the interviews with the finnish athlets on YLE. It's a good stream....

By the way something off topic, but does anyone know what happened with Hannu Manninen by the 15 kilometer cross country skiing? He was the whole season the best, but just in the Olympics it didn't work....

Jere had two great scoring chances in the second but was unable to score. IMO, this period we saw a worse Jere than in the first. All in all, I'm a little disappointed with Jere's performance so far despite the goal he scored.

Of course we get Niittymäki for the next games even if Norrena gets a shutout. That should be certain without a question.

Manninen suck in Olympics, thats just the way he is.

Yes and there have been people moaning that Nummelin was taken in the roster......
