It’s pretty clear Berube has a big influence on this team. They’re finishing hits now, not shying away from contact, going to the net and a result, the core 4 is much more engaged (except Matthews).

Berube hockey is playoff hockey. I know it’s just game 1 but this is a team that got bullied and physically dominated last year.

We’re not even done game 1 so you can’t really compare to last year statistically. They’re certainly not getting bullied by Florida like they did last year so far though. They’re going to dirty areas, they’re going to the net and there’s been some huge hits so far.
