It's also nonsense that the league is biased against Toronto, for some reason. And that they are biased for any team.

The league is passively biased towards any team that commits a lot of borderline infractions. The refs are never going to call 10 hooks and interferences on a team regardless of how many they commit, at best they’ll let a couple borderline calls go for the other team which isn’t as useful if their game isn’t built around running picks and waterskiing.

The refs are never going to call 10 hooks and interferences on a team regardless of how many they commit, at best they’ll let a couple borderline calls go for the other team which isn’t as useful if their game isn’t built around running picks and waterskiing.

This is often what happens. They can only call a small percentage of one team if they’re always committing penalties and have to make up a couple bad ones if a team never committed any penalties or the game won’t end up with a similar number of powerplays at the end

Reaves isn't going to play. Trust me. Reaves is probably the Leafs 17th forward on the depth chart right now. They have Robertson and Kampf sitting out, plus Marlies who have played this season and been really good but couldn't stay on the roster.

This is pretty dumb given that the D is quite good and just had an excellent series. You can pick apart other things like the bottom six, but the D has done their job.

More likely in the game management category is something along the lines of "We called a couple crosschecks and after scrum penalties on the Panthers, so now we can't call it again so they can get away with murder". Commit enough infractions knowing they won't call them all.

Hard to dispute these statistics right here, makes no difference if their starting goalie had the top .svp in the league or if they completely overhauled the defence, these dump and chase statistics show that they're just the same team.
