Well, I guess the question is:
How long does he sit there before he goes to the room. If its a couple of minutes (I would find it odd & really wouldnt like it if I were the coach , but no big deal), or is it for like, half the intermission. If its for longer than a couple of minutes, frankly thats bs , is really bad & should not be tolereated. Plus imo it reflects very poorly on Ovy as a team guy.

Is it safe to say Malkin has closed the gap without getting linched?

yeah but please try to hide your frustration about the lottery. The bashing about Ovechkin from some Pens homer is pathetic.

No. Outperforming Ovechkin in one game doesn't count.

I thought the thing with Ovenchicken was that he's "Kovalchuk without the attitude". :dunno:

Listen guys, Kovalchuk and Ovechkin are the best young players in the game since Lemieux. In a couple of years we'll have to add Crosby to that list.

I think the best young players in the game right now are Tuomo Ruutu, Nash and Zherdev..

Zherdev is fantastic, but IMO he shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Nash and Ruutu. Not yet. I'd say the same about Horton and Semin.

not in the same breath my ass..

IMO Zherdev will be the best offensive player after Crosby in years to come. Before Ovechkin and Kovalchuk.. but I'm very high on him.

from what I saw of Zherdev, I think he is better with the puck than Crosby, Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, and maybe even Mario or Mogilny who are kings of puck handling in my eyes..

the edge that Ovechkin and Kovalchuk have on Zherdev though, is that they are more physical players than him, and size inferiority could hinder Zherdev's scoring prowess..

Is this a joke?

do you have a reason to be posting here or or are you posting to just belittle other posters?

I believe I made my intentions clear in the first sentence of mine that you quoted.

By the way, Malkin is one of my favourite youngsters in quite some time... and so are Ovechkin, Bergeron, Radulov, Parise, etc....

Try (and this goes for many of you) taking off your blinders for a minute, and just enjoy great hockey. Team alignment is baseless, and childish... once you abandon that you will enjoy most any hockey game.

I know I'm speaking to a silent minority here, and that's fine. Those who empathise with my viewpoints are silently nodding their heads right now, and that's enough for me.
