GDT: GDT #72 New York Islanders @ Tampa Bay Lightning | March 29th | 2 PM | F/5-3 L

I am beyond amazed that Lou was not selling everyone at the deadline and I am even more amazed that Lou was still employed here for us to have the ability to plead with him to sell at the deadline ,,,in keeping with this game thread " sigh "

Being amazed that Lou refuses to sell players and dedicate to a youth movement is like being shocked that a lion would chase a gazelle.

Literally every single piece of evidence Lou has given us about how he GMs over the past 40 years tells you he only GM's one way...To add vets and quadruple down on his roster no matter how far they are from a Cup.

He's just being himself since he got here.

You see, now, look at the Bruins. That's an organization that realized it was over and got busy tanking. No holding on to false hope, no playoffs push to an early exit, no apologies. We're not good enough, we accept it and now let's lose as much as possible. Solid work.

Roy is doing a hell of a job with what he has.....hope he gets a chance to do with better
I got a question for all the Roy fans here. Let's put aside the offense for now. He's was an elite goalie and came from a Defensive system in Montreal. My question if he's doing such a good job here.

Is our Defense and goalie better since he's been here????? Simply NO!

Hmmmm.....

What is Roy supposed to say?.....it is true.....yeah, i wish he would violently lash out at the players and throw a few under the bus but that will not happen and really as a coach, should not happen. Yet he has on a few occasions, politely done so. ONly so much can be done with this "mess", might as well stay positive at this point.

And yes, this team does seem to "zone out" at moments during a game and it costs them. That is not the coach, it is the players. Most of the zoning out is done by the guys who have been there for a good time before Roy, especially on the defensive side. There is almost a disinterest by some of them and this has been going on before Roy. Pelech and Pulock seem absolutely brain dead out there.

Gonna take a lot to fix this culture...and it starts by jettisoning some if these players in the off season no matter the cost and it would be done if i were GM.....and if i were GM, that would mean Lou is gone...Win, Win.

When Kucherov looked to dish the puck off that first time and it was unsuccessful, I thought that was the hockey gods throwing us a bone. I thought we'd score with the next opportunity.

Then Kucherov did the exact same thing just a minute later, this time successfully.

Ineptitude couldn't be made use of.

All in all, the 3 third period goals were cool but it was all too little, too late.

Game was thrown away in the first period. A shame they didn't figure out Johansson until so late. Felt like TBL wasn't really in the mood to play (hard) yesterday. Didn't hav
